The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Resistance Robotics team is in Day II of the Great Northern Regional competition, which is held this week at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This marks the fourth year that they are competing at this region competition. At the Great Northern Regional this year, they have 52 teams. In the first match of Friday, which was their fifth overall match of the Great Northern Regional, B-B-E's Blue Alliance fell in a close battle by a 115 to 97 score. They were paired in the Blue Alliance with teams from Cambridge and Thief River Falls.
Their next match, the sixth for their team at regions, is set to begin at about 10:40 a.m. on Friday morning. B-B-E is in a Red Alliance paired with The Accelerators from Cass Lake-Bena high school and the Semiconductors from Sauk Centre high school. As of the time of the match, Cass Lake's team is in 11th place, while Sauk Centre's team is in 17th place.

Region update after B-B-E's second match of Friday: B-B-E's Red Alliance fell behind by a wide margin early in the match before mounting a furious comeback. Unfortunately, it fell just short by an incredibly small margin. Final score: Blue 101, Red 97. The intial shakeup in the standings showed B-B-E falling to 43rd place overall with a current region record of 1-5. The schedule shows qualification match times for B-B-E as follows: 1:01 p.m., 2:37 p.m. and 3:17 p.m.
Another update...B-B-E's alliance lost 105-74 in their 1:15 p.m. match. Next, they go at 2:54 p.m. (about).
