OBITUARY: Courtney Mithaugen, 1984-2025

A member of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Class of 2002 has passed away.


Courtney Ann Mithaugen, age 40, died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina.

Memorial services will be held at St. Luke's Church, Faribault on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. with a visitation at church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Arrangements are being completed by Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Courtney Ann, the daughter of Michele (Lemcke) Mithaugen and Chip Mithaugen, she was born March 12, 1984 in Willmar. She graduated from B-B-E High School in 2002 and received her degree as an Esthetician. She was previously employed with Big Bowl in Roseville, Free House in Minneapolis and Gianni's in Minnetonka.

Courtney was well known for her smile, laughter, outgoing and bubbly personality, her kind, beautiful soul and her sunny disposition on life.

Two quotes that were special to her: "Make your smile change the world, but don't let the world change your smile," and also "Chase purity, Chase humility, Chase gentleness, Chase kindness, Chase love, Chase life, Chase Truth."

She is survived by her son, Bryson Huntley and his dad, Dave of St. Louis Park; mother and stepfather, Michele and Rob Lueken of Faribault, brothers, Zackery (Sara) Mithaugen of Carver, Creighton Mithaugen of Faribault, Channing (MacKenzie) Mithaugen of Brooklyn Park; Two nieces Rayne and Abigail and a nephew Ottis, Grandma, Donna Lemcke of Brooten; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Dad, Chip Mithaugen, and grandparents: Marvin Lemcke, Harold Mithaugen and Jeannie Mithaugen-Knight.
