The coverage area of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper stretches from Grove Lake, Elrosa and Spring Hill in the north down to Regal, Hawick, New London, Norway Lake and Sunburg on the south and west to the Terrace and Sedan areas. The major towns covered are Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa plus the school district of B-B-E.
Across all voting precincts in those areas, which stretches into the counties of Swift, Stearns, Pope and Kandiyohi, local citizens provided 4,419 votes in the November 5 general election to the Donald Trump/JD Vance ticket for President of the United States.
In those same precincts, citizens gave 1,509 votes to the Democratic ticket of Vice-President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
Cumulatively, that totals 5,928 votes, of which the Trump/Vance ticket earned 74.5% of the vote. The complete precinct-by-precinct breakdown of the vote totals was published on page 8 of the November 14 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.
Out of all voting precincts in the Bonanza Valley area, the reddest vote totals come from Lake George Township, where 90.17 percent of voters supported the Trump-Vance ticket.
The bluest precinct in the coverage area is in the Swift Falls area, where Camp Lake Township voters provided 62 votes for Trump-Vance (55.4%) compared to 50 votes for the Harris-Walz ticket.
A close second for bluest precinct is Chippewa Falls Township, where the Trump-Vance ticket had 81 votes (54.7%) to the Harris-Walz ticket's 67 votes.
The reddest area by county in the Bonanza Valley area is southwest Stearns County, where the Trump-Vance ticket received approximately 80 percent of the vote (1,753 votes compared to 435 for the Harris-Walz ticket).
