Bonanza Valley Days is coming on July 11, 12, 13 and 14! On the afternoon of Friday, June 28, this web article will feature photos of the BVD poster, which should be viewable on any computer or device with a regular-sized monitor. Currently, the attached video here features footage from the Brooten Fire Department's chicken BBQ held on July 9, 2021. It was a grand achievement to resurrect BVD after it was put on pause during 2020 due to the pandemic.

On July 1, the BVD 3-on-3 youth basketball tournament was cancelled due to the lack of the minimum number of teams to make it feasible. Organizers will try again to get teams signed up for the 2025 BVD celebration.

Also! The BVD Sand Volleyball tournament has filled up. It quickly filled up, and with only one sand court the tournament is limited to just 8 teams on Saturday, July 13.

Other updates and random notes

The Local Pantry of Brooten will serve free root beer floats and ice cream on Saturday, July 13 at their location as part of the Bonanza Valley Days celebration. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa wrestling club will hold the BVD Walk/Run event on Saturday, July 13 starting at the St. Donatus Catholic Church on Roe Street. Anyone with questions about the BVD Walk/Run can call Shanda Anderson.

On Saturday, July 13, the B-B-E Jaguars fastpitch team will operate a food stand out of the Booster Club trailer in downtown Brooten. They raised considerable funds last year that went to major improvements at the varsity diamond in Brooten. They hope to repeat that this year and thank everyone in advance for their support! BVD 2024 will include numerous food options throughout the weekend. A special BVD food article will be posted to this website on Thursday, July 11.
