Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa senior Jeffrey Cihlar finished a distinguished speech career with back-to-back trips to the state speech meet. Last Friday in his second appearance at state, Cihlar competed in Extemporanous Speaking at Shakopee high school.
While he just missed earning a spot in the state finals in his category, he earned a big achievement by being named to the Class 1A All-State speech team two days prior. It is part of the conclusion of a high school career for one of B-B-E's most loyal and dedicated member of the Fine Arts program. Cihlar has been in speech, band and choir since seventh grade as well as being part of the fall musical the past two years.
