B-B-E looks to continue its undefeated start to the 2023 season
After achieving the program's first-ever 3-0 start the week before, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa football team made it four-in-a-row to start the season with a 50-22 thrashing of visiting Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City last Friday, September 22 in Belgrade.
The Jaguars initially struck with lightning-like speed while taking 20-6 lead in the first quarter with the first three drives consisting of just 10 plays totaling 215 yards.
After posting a 36-22 halftime lead, the Jaguars shut out the Falcons (1-3) in the second half on three separate drives.
What is likely the biggest test of the season comes on Friday, September 29 with a trip into Morrison County to Swanville. Upsala/Swanville Area, ranked No. 9 in the September 18 state rankings, is 4-0 and handed A-C-GC a 36-0 loss in Grove City in Week Three. Last week at Browerville, the Patriots overcame a strong challenge by the Tigers to expand a 20-14 fourth-quarter lead to win 36-14. In week III, the Patriots traveled to Grove City and leveled Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City by a 36-0 score after taking a 24-0 lead at halftime.
