The Kandiyohi County Fair got underway on Wednesday this week at the fairgrounds in Willmar.
The key event on Thursday night is the KRA stock car races. Multiple free activities will be held including hypnotist shows by Freddie Justice at 5 and 8 p.m. A sweet corn feed will run from 5 to 7 p.m., and Radio Accoustic performs at 6 and 9 p.m.
Two cash drawings take place each night at the fair at 6 p.m. and then 10 p.m., with the first drawing for $250 and second for $1,000, and you must be present to win and have your fair ticket to win!
Friday, August 11 at the fair
Oyur Tyme with the Beaches performs at 2 p.m., and Ava Hanson will sing at 5 p.m. The Jam Dammers will perform at 8 p.m. These shows will be held at the semi trailer which is located near the center of the fairgrounds after fair guests climb the hill from the ticket gate. The grandstand event on Friday is the semi pickup and tractor pull starting at 6 p.m.
The Saturday night grandstand event features the NTPA tractor and truck pull starting at 7 p.m. For children and adults young at heart, the Greater Midwest Carnival will provide entertainment each day. Saturday, August 12 at the fair
Numerous free kids' day activities will be held on Saturday.
Jeff James will perform at 5 p.m., and Madd Hoss Jackson performs at 8 p.m.
