The Bonanza Valley Days kiddie parade was held on a sunny, picture-perfect Saturday morning, July 8 in Brooten. The video below features the parade, which was held along Hatton Street.
The BVD kiddie parade's youngest participant was Lainey Olson, who is just four months old. The oldest participant was 10-year old Braeden Lieser.
All participants had their names placed into a drawing. Mary Olson of Sleepy Eye (daughter of B-B-E Class of 1998 graduate Kevin Olson) won the grand prize from this drawing, which was four passes to the Crayola Experience at Mall of America in Bloomington. This wonderful prize, which had a market value of $112, was donated by Lakeland Broadcasting of Willmar.
A new web article is coming to the newspaper website that features video from a special Mass held at St. Donatus Catholic church in Brooten during Bonanza Valley Days. Additional BVD content has also been recently posted to the newspaper's Jaguars Sports blog: Http://bbejaguars.blogspot.com.
