The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa boys' basketball team earned the program's 19th sub-section championship berth in school history with a 58-42 win against Hancock on Monday, March 13. The No. 11-ranked (Minnesota Basketball News) Jaguars held Hancock over 21 points below their scoring average.
The Sub-Section 6A-South championship game was held on Wednesday, March 15 back at Minnewaska Area, where the Jaguars faced fellow Top-20 team Border West for a section finals berth. The No. 14-ranked (No. 18 QRF) Buccaneers won 70-62 against No. 24-ranked (QRF) Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in the late semifinal game at Minnewaska on March 13.
