Pirouettes JV jazz first at home dance comp

The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team hosted a six-team meet on Thursday, January 19 in Brooten.

The Pirouettes JV Jazz squad took first place with a hard-fought win.

Led by B-B-E Class of 2015 graduate and head coach Katie Boie, the Pirouettes went through what was a not-so-easy transition in mid-December to split up their 13-person roster into varsity and JV squads. This created an extra layer of work and especially teamwork to pull off.

The team was thrilled to earn that success as they gear up for the final competitions and the Section 2A meet on February 11 in Melrose. They most recently competed at New London-Spicer on Saturday, January 28.
