In 1965, American radio host Paul Harvey gave an immense warning to the American people about the fate of the nation. "We Were Warned: Freedom to Chains" is a short film about the parallels between the warning Harvey gave over fifty years ago, and today with the socialist influences in government and society. This video is an edit of the short film created to provide only the audio without the visuals seen in the original.
Harvey's speech lasts about 9 minutes. He was born in Tulsa, OK on September 4, 1918 and passed away on February 28, 2009 in Phoenix, AZ. His wife, Lynne, passed away in 2008. Harvey was the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom (1995, 2005) and the Peabody Award (1994).
