A farmer combines soybeans near the Brian Kollman farm on County Road 18 north of Brooten on a sunny, warm October 5 day when the high reached 72 degrees.
The fall harvest in the Bonanza Valley area has continued throughout September and October under ideal conditions. Rainfalls have been few but meaningful, which has provided some much-needed moisture without greatly disrupting fall combining, hay baling and other harvesting.
