Homecoming win lifts Jaguar football to winning record

In a big achievement for the middle of the regular season, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars football team moved above .500 with a 34-12 Homecoming win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Friday, October 1. The Jaguars used a balanced offensive attack combined with stellar defense to forge a 28-6 halftime lead.

This week the Jaguars (3-2) faced a tough task at a sub.-500 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City team that is stinging from a 34-8 thrashing at the hands of visiting Upsala/Swanville Area. A-C-GC's three losses have come against teams with a combined record of 14-1.

Kickoff this Friday from Falcons Stadium is at 7 p.m., when the Jaguars will give their best shot at sending A-C-GC to a 2-4 overall record.
