BVD 2021 has a long, long list of activities for folks across the area to enjoy in Brooten
The annual Bonanza Valley Days celebration returns in Brooten after a COVID-induced hiatus in 2020.
"Bucke Up, We are Back!" is the main theme for BVD 2021. It's going to be a rip-roaring time in Brooten! The dates are July 8, 9, 10 and 11 from Thursday to Sunday that weekend. Mark your calendars now!
The fun begins with a non-denominational Worship in the Park service at 7 p.m. at the city park near the Brooten Pavilion. A special band concert by Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa students and adults will follow the church service at the park shelter. Cookies and refreshments will be served during the concert.
Friday, July 9 includes a youth baseball tournament, city-wide garage sales and a street dance that night.
Saturday, July 10 is the biggest day of the BVD celebration with a day chocked full of activities for everyone! The Miss Brooten Coronation is at 6 p.m. at the Brooten Pavilion. The street dance begins at about 8:30 p.m. that night with the Terrace-Sedan area band Wasted Time performing.
The B-B-E Scouts BSA waffle feed is from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the city park. That will be a huge event in itself, as that can bring 400-plus in the morning's time. The grand parade is at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday to conclude the four-day celebration.
Other details to follow. Stay tuned to the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper for more details throughout the rest of June!
