Brooten (drive-through) Santa Day and Lighted Christmas parade

Abbreviated Santa Day event coming to Brooten on Saturday, December 12 - ALL ARE WELCOME!

Citizens of Brooten are excited to host an abbreviated Santa Day and lighted Christmas parade event on Saturday, December 12 starting at 4:30 p.m. After an hour to provide time for folks to participate in the drive-through "Treasure Collection" event, Brooten's traditional lighted Christmas parade will start at 5:30 p.m.

*Update: in addition to what is listed below, the Padua Pub is joining the fun and will have a cheeseburger giveaway at one of the locations on main street on December 12.

Route: Main Street and Central Avenue

Start near the Railroad tracks with the bowling alley on the right, cross Highway 55, then drive Central Avenue from the bank to the American Legion. Collect treasures on the right side of the road through the passenger side windows. Drop your map at the end (near Legion) to enter the door prize drawing. Drive around town to vote on lights and find a parking spot by 5:30 p.m. to enjoy the parade in your car with your family & friends! Park on Main Street, Central Ave or Hatton Avenue between the Legion and Trinity Lutheran! You will receive a call or text if you win a prize!

• Station: Bowling Alley side walk-Rubber duck

• Station: Rustic Stables -Popcorn Ball

• Station: Bonanza Valley Voice -Candy

• Station: Corner of Main Street and Hwy 55)- Christmas tree ornament kit

CENTRAL AVENUE

• Station: Bank (corner of Hwy 55 & Central Avenue)- Coloring book

• Station: Bank side walk- Crayons

• Station: Bank side walk- Santa - Candy Canes

• Station: Legion side walk-door prize-drop treasure card with name and phone number

• Station: Legion side walk-Apple Cider or Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows

(Saturday, December 12, at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street from bowling alley, cross highway to Legion, turn left on Hatton & end at Trinity): we ask that you park your car along the route and watch from your car to minimize gathering in accordance with Minnesota's COVID-19 guidelines.
