Pope County Farm Bureau promotes learning about agriculture
Pope County Farm Bureau sponsored its annual breakfast on the farm on Monday, Labor Day, and served 660 people throughout the morning.
With a goal of limiting crowding and gathering, a simple drive-through set up was used, with visitors entering on the north side of the fairgrounds and then driving down the fairway past machinery, education booths and farm animals. The idea was to provide a great breakfast (egg bake, steak, muffin, yogurt, milk) along with a learning experience.
A free will offering was taken to benefit additional Ag In the Classroom activities.
More photos from the event were published in the September 10 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper.
