Eight-team tournament is a big success for the town of Elrosa

The town of Elrosa had much to be proud of following the weekend of June 19-20-21. The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team hosted the Elite 8 tournament and drew a terrific crowd with near-perfect weather all three days.
After beating New Munich in the quarterfinals by a 3-2 score in Friday, the Saints fell 6-1 to Watertown in the semifinals on Saturday night. The Saints finished in third place after defeating Freeport 12-1 in their Sunday matinee game to raise their record to 4-1 overall.
