Our downtown Box Office and Art Gallery with Central Square and Civic Center is not physically open at this time. However, employees are working from home and checking the voicemail daily. Please don't hesitate to call or email us. Stay tuned for our updated website which will include inventory from the gallery AND it will be available to buy online!
In an effort to protect our residents and patrons, Central Square is not open to the public at this time. We will continue to update our Facebook page and website with information regarding our concert series for 2020.
Crafting to keep the kiddos entertained at home
We're in our second week at home with our kids, who are probably starting to get restless. Why not use some of the old toilet paper tubes as an art project? You can create numerous different colorful animals with this project which only requires a few different items that we can probably find in our home.
• Paint
• Paint brush
• Construction paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Empty toilet paper tubes
The first thing to do is to press down the tube at the top so that it is closed, it creates an ear point at the top. Some ideas for animals that you can make are a dog, owl, lion, bird, elephant, cow, peacock, pig, and a kitten. Get creative, make these critters as bright and vibrant as possible. Check out http://www.creativemeinspiredyou.com to get some visual inspiration and some more detailed instructions for each animal.
A healthy snack
We found a yummy treat for everyone to make at home and you could probably find these ingredients in your kitchen already.
Apple Moons:
• Apples
• Peanut butter or almond butter
• Granola
Cut your apples into crescent pieces, spread either peanut butter or almond butter onto them, and then press granola on top. Yum!
