Christmas events coming to Brooten on Saturday, December 7
The Brooten community invites everyone to town for Santa Day on Saturday, December 7! The tentative schedule is as follows:
3 to 5 p.m. - at the Brooten Lanes: Santa Claus will visit area children, and other activities will take place that are sponsored by the Brooten Fire Relief Association and the B-B-E Girl Scouts.
4:30 to 6 p.m. - at the KaDe Shack: the B-B-E Cub Scouts, with sponsorship also by the Brooten Fire Relief Association, will host activities at the KaDe Shack for folks to enjoy after they meet Santa Claus! This will include a chili feed (free will donation), a bake sale and also the always-popular FREE kids bingo. All proceeds from this will go towards the Save Station that is in the works for Brooten.
At 6 p.m. the lighted parade will take place down main street. It will begin on the north side of main street, and parade entrants are asked to gather by the elevator parking lot and/or along the hotel along third street. This event is weather-dependent, and the official start time has been set for 6 p.m. to coincide with the preceding events in town that day.
