The Spicer WinterFest is underway and in full swing beginning this week.
On Friday and Saturday, Glacial Ridge Winery is hosting an art and wine event from noon to 9 p.m. on both ays.
This Saturday brings the Frozen 5K Run/Walk at 9 a.m. with the start at Zorbaz. That night, a DJ plays at Zorbaz from 10 p.m. to close.
The special event on Saturday is the Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks at 5:30 p.m. (Weather back-up date is January 26) Also, the first annual Fire On Ice dance is at Saulsbury Beach from 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday. This is a fundraiser for the Spicer Commercial Club and the Spicer Fire Department.
On Sunday this weekend (January 20), Kids Fishing is from 1 to 3 p.m. with a dark house angling experience and a free lunch to follow at O'Neil's Event Center.
The following weekend, Saturday, January 26, the 15th annual Polar Plunge is at 1 p.m.
