The public is invited to the 19th annual celebration of the Norway Lake Lutheran Historical Association and the old log church in rural Norway Lake - Sunday, August 19. The day begins with a service in the morning with seating both inside the log church and an adjoining tent. There is short journey to East Norway Lake Lutheran to enjoy a catered meal with a suggested donation to cover the cost. Then back to the tent for the afternoon program at 1:30 p.m. You will really enjoy the three short plays depicting actual events that occurred on the Norway Lake Frontier before it was even called Norway Lake. You will hear about a great elk hunt, learn how land was claimed and how a gift can make ones day better. When the plays are over there is always a little lefse and coffee. There is plenty for everyone! Bring your lawn chairs, your families and friends, tour the interpretive center and enjoy your day.
