The round of sirens through Brooten on Tuesday, June 26 were part of a police/fire department escort for Charlotte Winkler as she and her host family left town to the Cities for her flight back to Germany the following day. About two dozen friends and town residents gathered at Bonanza Valley State Bank's parking lot to wave good-bye as they passed through Brooten.
