A Senior's View

Being married for 70 years takes a special kind of love and a special level of fondness between a husband and wife. One Brooten couple has a marriage embodying all that and more.

For Herman and Delores Kampsen, 70 years of marriage was achieved this past Saturday, September 24, with a gathering of children and grandchildren at the Elrosa farm where they raised 11 children from the late 1940s through the 1980s.

While life on that farm was marked with plenty of hard work for the Kampsens, there was one activity they always found time for. An activity that had nothing to do with milking cows or raising corn.
