No, there's nothing terribly exciting coming in tonight's Brooten City Council meeting, but the Bonanza Valley Voice will live stream the meeting on the Internet. This is the first time - at least in central Minnesota - that a city council meeting in a town of under 1,000 people will be live streamed on the Internet. The Voice is attempting to get additional fall streaming events listed on the calendar and gain more videography experience with the software and electronic equipment. This service was unveiled as another added feature of the Voice last December. It is our sincere hope that with more experience utilizing this service, we will get to the point that errors and technical troubles will become few and far between.
The Brooten City Council will meet in regular session on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the city council room. It is unclear how long the meeting will last, but an educated guess based on the agenda is that it will be finished by 8:30 p.m.
The live stream can be viewed at the Bonanza Valley Voice streaming website: http://citylinktv.com/channel/brooten-bonanza-valley-voice/.
