An irrigator’s clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, December 16 in Glenwood at the Lakeside Ballroom. This event will be of interest to anyone who is actively engaged in irrigation on agriculture lands, according to a press release by the Pope County Soil and Water Conservation District office.
A great lineup of speakers has committed to participate in the event from these groups: Irrigators Association of Minnesota, University of Minnesota, Board of Water and Soil Resources, Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Conservation Service, SWCD districts and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
Topics to be addressed include: irrigation technology, an irrigator panel, the state buffer program, nutrient management on irrigated soils and more.
The event begins with registration at 8 a.m. and will conclude by 2:45 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Preregistration is requested by sending $10 to Holly Kovarik, Pope SWCD, 1680 Franklin Street North, Glenwood, MN 56334 by December 11.
