    Just seconds into their playoff opener on Tuesday, October 25, the underdog Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars football team found paydirt when Isaiah Gilbert ran the opening kickoff back for an 81-yard touchdown.     The Regal Eagles have won their state tournament opener, just as they did back in 1997 in their last trip to the big show in Minnesota's Class C of amateur baseball.     For the third time in team history, the Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team is heading to the Sweet 16 round of the Class C state tournament. In the Round of 32 at state, Elrosa beat Blue Earth by a 1-0 score on Saturday, August 27 in Hutchinson to improve to 19-14 overall.     The Regal Eagles amateur baseball team is heading to the Class C state tournament for the first time since 1997 and 12th time in team history. From 1985 to '97 they made it to state 11 out of 13 years and now, with an entirely new group of players, they are gunning for some state hardware once again.     The Elrosa Saints won two games to begin the Region 15C amateur baseball tournament, both in come-from-behind fashion, as they clinched a berth in the Class C state tournament for the first time since 2013. The Silverstreaks had defeated Elrosa twice in the regular season series, winning 4-2 on May 15 in New Munich and then by a 2-0 score last Sunday (July 24) in Elrosa.     A total of 58 runners enjoyed and/or endured the Bonanza Valley Days Walk/Run event held on Saturday morning, July 9, 2016. The course covered two miles, starting and ending on the southeast corner of the lot of the former Brooten and B-B-E Senior High school.     The last undefeated teams in the Stearns County League met for a great baseball game in Elrosa on Wednesday, June 29.
