Sunburg's 18th annual Syttende Mai celebration was held on what was perhaps the most perfect day they could have asked for on Sunday, May 21. The weather featured temperatures in the upper 70s, full sunshine and a light breeze. An incredible display of support and solidarity was witnessed by hundreds of bystanders in downtown Glenwood on Saturday, April 22 following the funeral for fallen Pope County Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Owens. Fellowship is an important part of the daily mission of Trinity Lutheran church of Grove Lake. Their church recently held their Fall Festival last Sunday on a sunny, picture-perfect, albeit somewhat warm, fall day.
