    Publisher's note: Due to what was about a 40-minute delay at the printing press, the annual U.S. Postal Service audit of the newspaper has been delayed from Wednesday to Thursday (October 10). What it means is that Post Office box holders in Brooten won't see The Voice until approximately 10 a.m. on Thursday - they're used to getting it on Wednesdays.     Former Brooten Mayor Larry Putz stepped up to serve as Interim Mayor in Brooten for the remainder of 2024. Putz fills the seat vacated by Thor Amundson, who resigned in August after he got married earlier this summer and then moved out of the city limits.
