Main Street in Brooten was the site of multiple activities on Saturday, December 9, featuring the annual Brooten Santa Day. The fun concluded with a lighted Christmas parade north of the KaDe Shack and traveling south down Central Avenue. The Elrosa Fire Department hosted their annual fall steak fry fundraiser on Saturday, October 14. The event was held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church with both a drive-through taking place in the parking lot and a sit-down dinner in the church basement. Altogether, they served 733! Turnout, enthusiasm and excitement ran strong on Saturday at Crow River Lutheran church for their annual WELCA fall soup and supper and auction fundraiser. They had 44 bidders for the auction, and anything over 40 represents a very good turnout for that event!
