Nearly 100,000 high-school students on 3,790 teams at 146 venues around the globe joined the 2019 Kickoff via live broadcast out of Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school was host to a splendid Christmas "mini-concert" as well as a marvelous Holiday-themed musical on Wednesday, December 12. Students in the sixth grade band performed three songs to start off the program: “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”, “The Dreidel Song” and “Jingle Bells”. After many months of deliberation, the school board is proposing that the district revoke the existing referendum authorization and replace it with a new amount. This new referendum would be applicable for 10 years, beginning with taxes payable in 2019, unless otherwise revoked by the board or reduced as provided by state law.
