This marks the fourth year that they are competing at this region competition. At the Great Northern Regional this year, they have 52 teams. For the first time in many years, the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa speech team hosted a home meet at the high school with the first annual Jagtastic Speech Invitational this past Saturday, February 15. Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school's Olson Auditorium was the site of a terrific Sno-Daze coronation program on Tuesday, February 11. The coronation officially kicked off the 35th annual Sno-Daze week in Jaguar Country with students in grades 9-12 plus staff members, family and friends helping fill the seats as games were played along with the crowning of the King and Queen. A member of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Class of 2002 has passed away. Courtney Ann Mithaugen, age 40, died on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina. Memorial services will be held at St. Luke's Church, Faribault on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. with a visitation at church one hour prior to the service on Saturday. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school jazz band, with students in grades 8-12, performed as part of the Holiday Christmas concert on December 16 at Olson Auditorium. On October 10, members of the Brooten and Belgrade fire departments spoke to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary students on topics presented to them during Fire Prevention Week.
