    Santa Claus visited Elrosa last Friday night, December 10. He was escorted around town on a horse-drawn wagon by Welle Farms, plus assistance from the Elrosa Fire Department and the Elrosa Commercial Club. It was a beautiful December evening with snow falling lightly as Santa and his helpers spread Christmas cheer while delivering gift/goodie bags to children of all ages.     The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wrote a letter dated November 5, 2021 admitting that they have no records of Americans who were infected and won their battle with COVID-19 then transmitting the disease at a later point to someone else.     From a population standpoint, the new COVID-19 case counts in the past week have evened out between the Belgrade 56312, Brooten 56316 and Elrosa 56325 zip code areas. In the December 16 report by the Minnesota Department of Health, the cumulative figure for new COVID-19 cases reported in the past week is 43, which is an increase from last week's total of 32 (December 9 report).
