No, there's nothing terribly exciting coming in tonight's Brooten City Council meeting, but the Bonanza Valley Voice will live stream the meeting on the Internet. The annual fall Turkey Fest activities at Brink's Beer Joint in Swift Falls on Saturday (Sept. 17) brought hundreds to town on a day with pleasant temperatures and full sunshine. Brink's Beer Joint owner Ben Honebrink reported that over 140 tickets were sold for the turkey cook-off contest. Seven fire departments (Chokio, Donnelly, Cyrus, Murdock, Clontarf, Sunburg and Benson) battled in a firemen's fire fight contest. The Charity Parade was also a big hit.
