    The weekly Brooten Farmers Market, held every Thursday at the city park this summer and fall, is featuring additional produce as we've turned the calendar to August. The Farmers Market, which began last August of 2023 and resumed again this summer on June 20, runs from 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday at the city park on the west side of town.     The county fairs of Pope County and Stearns County are in full swing in Glenwood and Sauk Centre, respectively. These fairs officially kicked off on Wednesday, July 31.
