The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Clay Trapshooting team had 25 members compete at the Class 5A state trap meet last Friday, June 16 in Alexandria. High Gun - Varsity Male Gabe Coners finished in an 11-way tie for 26th place out of 334 with a 94. Xavier Coners, James Wesbur and Owen Radermacher finished in a 22-way tie for 72nd place with a 91. The annual Bonanza Valley Days celebration in Brooten is just around the corner! The big four-day event is coming on July 6 through July 9 with activities actually starting on Monday, July 3 that week with the BVD Medallion Hunt. The annual Curd Fest celebration was bigger and better than ever on Saturday, June 17 at the Redhead Creamery. Every Curd Fest has been a richly enjoyable experience for guests, and this year was no different while the turnout was far and away more than what Alise and Lucas Sjostrom and family expected.
