It remains to be seen if federal officials will explain how they ignored warnings dating back to last fall about what was an impending shortage of baby formula in the United States. Some media ask the question, but there's not much explanation coming from Washington D.C. At the end of the day, we know that bureaucracy ultimately slows down what could be speedy progress to the problems we face in America. After a lengthy Mother Nature-induced delay to start their season, Elrosa's amateur baseball team has rocketed off to a 5-0 start starting with a 4-0 win over the visiting Meire Grove Grovers on Sunday, May 15. Two weekends ago in two road games, the Saints won 15-5 at Lake Henry on May 21 and then 9-7 at Spring Hill on May 22. On Saturday under the lights of Saints Field, Elrosa defeated Farming 7-2 before they headed down to Roscoe on Sunday afternoon and picked up a 10-1 win. The delayed...
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary students participated in track and field day events on May 19 and 20 at the high school football stadium. Elementary P.E. teacher Austin Rambow and members of the varsity track and field team organized multiple races and field events. The Brooten American Legion Ranten-Sunflot Post No. 288 hosted a Memorial Day program on May 30 at the Brooten Pavilion. Severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall had passed over the area before sunrise that day, so the event was moved indoors from its usual location of Memorial Park. This also happened in 2019. A great crowd of visitors were on hand for the program, which included the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa high school band performing music. Below is video from the program....
The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Class of 2022 held its graduation ceremony on Friday, June 3 at the high school football stadium. Under picture-perfect conditions of full sunshine, no wind and seasonal temperatures hovering around 70 degrees, a total of 53 B-B-E graduates were honored and recognized as they received their diplomas.
