I will re-post this comment again in the coming days...but I have to laugh at some of the comments buzzing around the community to the idea that Bonanza Valley Days in Brooten will be either scaled back or not held at all in July. The Brooten American Legion will hold a Memorial Day program on Monday, May 27 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park along Highway 55. The speaker will be Father David Grundman of the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Catholic churches. Also, the B-B-E high school band will perform, and the B-B-E Girl Scouts and Brooten American Legion Ladies Auxiliary will also be in attendance. Students in the fifth and sixth grades at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary held a spring concert on May 15. The concert began with the elementary choir singing two songs. Next was the elementary band performing, and then the full student body in the fifth and sixth grades sang Rock n' Roll classic songs.
