    On Friday, April 5 at approximately 4:15 p.m., a semi tractor struck power lines near the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school along School Avenue and took down two power poles. The situation left multiple live power lines sitting on the street going north and east from the intersection. The Brooten Fire Department, Belgrade Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the emergency and cordoned off the area.   • Easter Egg hunts coming

    The Easter bunny will be kept hopping around local towns leading up to Easter, which is April 21 this year. First, the Belgrade Commercial Club invites everyone to their Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 13. They are hosting it at the Belgrade city park at 10 a.m., and children will be divided by age into three groups. Grand prizes will be drawn after the last hunt.   • Fourth anniversary party at Goat Ridge Brewing in New London

    Goat Ridge Brewing Co. is excited to host their fourth anniversary party this Saturday, April 13.
