On Friday, April 5 at approximately 4:15 p.m., a semi tractor struck power lines near the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa elementary school along School Avenue and took down two power poles. The situation left multiple live power lines sitting on the street going north and east from the intersection. The Easter bunny will be kept hopping around local towns leading up to Easter, which is April 21 this year. First, the Belgrade Commercial Club invites everyone to their Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 13. They are hosting it at the Belgrade city park at 10 a.m., and children will be divided by age into three groups. Grand prizes will be drawn after the last hunt.
