  • Math Masters season is underway

    Walker Bents, Ashton Dingmann, Will Van Beck, Nate Walstrom, Kylie Winter and Hillary Prentice participated in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge on March 4 at Parkers Prairie. They are coached by Betty Montbriand and Janelle Field. A total of 105 students competed individually and as teams on eight sets of mathematical problems. Top three (medal winners): Nate Walstrom and Will Van Beck. Kylie Winter, Walker Bents and Ashton Dingmann were ribbon winners....

    I doubt anyone who sees this picture will recognize it without looking at the words etched at the bottom. Shown is the Brooten school building (1st grade through 12th grade) taken between 1912 and 1933. What can be seen is the west-facing wing, with the "high school" wing in the background.
