Dave Kampsen, Donnie Lenarz and Willard "Bucky" Buckentine (posthumously) were inducted into the Elrosa baseball team's Hall of Fame on July 9 at Saints Field. Dave Kampsen, an Elrosa native, played for the Saints from 1975 to 1995 and was a key member of the program's first amateur state tournament team in 1988. Marcia's Bar in downtown Brooten was, as they say, "Off The Hook!" on Friday night of Bonanza Valley Days 2021. An absolutely magnificent third annual Curd Fest was held on Saturday, June 19 at the Redhead Creamery. Live music, great food, drinks and a wonderful atmosphere to meet others for social activity was all wrapped into a seven-hour event at the Jennisen/Sjostrom rural Brooten dairy farm.
