Great job to Grandma Kara for driving the parade unit! Coverage of this parade will be published across both the July 14 and July 21 issues of the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper....

From the publisher's desk: We've had to put out an S.O.S. for a missing newspaper bundle with the U.S. Postal Service. I was alerted early this morning by a subscriber who owns a Glenwood business that they still haven't received the July 14 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice. Throughout the day I learned from multiple other subscribers in the 56334 zip code that they did not receive the issue either. All told, approximately 125 newspapers are missing for approximately 125 subscribers. This is a big problem. Being one day late is not the worst...

The night of Wednesday, June 29 in Elrosa was one to remember as the Parishes on the Prairie Catholic churches hosted an old-fashioned church social on the campus of Ss. Peter and Paul church. The evening concluded with live music performed by Sonar. In the video below, Father Rick Aubol joined the band to sing "Blessed Be the Name of The Lord" in the second-to-last song of the night....
Coming here...a web article that outlines the food options for eating in Brooten over the Bonanza Valley Days weekend. There's something to take care of just about every meal you need between Friday and Sunday! Stay tuned! Great apologies from the desk of the newspaper owner! Updating this web article slipped through the cracks in my operation on Friday. Essentially 100 percent of my free/spare time has been consumed by a family project we adopted to paint 12 bean bag board sets that were built...

Note: a very unfortunate coding mistake meant that this web article did not include the video player this weekend. It was corrected on Monday, July 4. Our apologies for this regrettable error. Below is a video of a special music performance of the song "Lord I Life Your Name on High" that was sung by Mari Jacobs on Sunday at Games Lake Park worship. She packed a punch while singing with great energy and emotion, as you will hear in the video below. Wonderful! Mari is the daughter of of Dan and...
First, another gentle reminder to remember that the lengthy list of Bonanza Valley Days activities are made possible by the overwhelming support of the local business community. We can't say it enough: without that generous support, BVD as everyone knows it would not be possible. The BVD posters that have gone up across the area include business sponsors, and you can see the poster yourself on page 7 this week and see everything that's coming. Click on the following link to see the Bonanza...

So noble they strive to be, but so absolutely pathetic and lazy they really are. See what I'm talking about in the video below. Maybe it's just me, but perhaps some of that energy and time put into creating signs and marching down the streets could have been put into cleaning up the protest site? What do I know, though? I was raised by parents who would have kicked my butt all over creation if I participated in behavior like that. Winning comment of the day: those kids were raised to be that...
The memes in this video clip speak volumes!...
Editorial commentary submitted to the Bonanza Valley Voice by Senator Amy Klobuchar. On this Fourth of July, we celebrate the birth of our country-the great American experiment in democracy that began in 1776, when our founding fathers adopted the principles penned in the Declaration of Independence. Those principles became the bedrock of our nation, a roadmap of America's purpose, and the foundation for a new way of governing rooted in the importance of working together. Throughout our history, brave Americans have fought and given what...
