Since the April 8 report for COVID-19 new case numbers (by zip code) was reported by the Minnesota Department of Health, the local zip code area of Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa has seen 52 new cases reported in a population of approximately 4,285 people. The Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa speech team competed in the Sub-Section 5A-South meet last Thursday night, April 8, and they turned in an excellent showing for a team with no seniors on the roster. Finishing in first place in their categories for B-B-E were Amber Stephani in Discussion, Lily Kallevig in Extemporaneous Reading and Aidan Johnson in Informative.
