The fun started this week with the BVD Medallion Hunt and then a large number of garage sales that began on Thursday. The first Brooten Farmers Market will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 at the city park near the Brooten Pavilion. The Bonanza Valley Days T-shirts are now on sale for the big "Kickin' It In the Sticks in 2026" celebration in Brooten. The cost is just $20 each, and they can be purchased at Bonanza Valley State Bank (8 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.) or at The Local Pantry (open Wednesday through Saturday this week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
